I
am happy and proud to see the way in which the specialty
of interventional cardiology has developed in Kerala.
There has been a remarkable increase in the number of
catheterization laboratories in all parts of the state.
The ICCK has an important role to play in co-ordinating
the activities of these facilities. The annual conferences
organized by the Council have maintained very high standards
and have shown that work done by our colleagues throughout
Kerala has been of very high quality and meets international
norms. An especially gratifying feature has been the
spirit of friendly co-operation and openness exhibited
by all members.
We are aware that learning is a continuous process
and communication is the essence of maintaining high
quality. Our website has been designed as a friendly
forum for updating our knowledge and disseminating
information. I am sure that all members of the Council
will find it useful and utilize it for exchange of
ideas and suggestions for improvement.
I wish the Council all success in all its endeavours.
